The City of Lake View is expanding the scope of their electric line replacement project, and thanks to a better than expected cost analysis, the price has changed very little. The city began looking at the possibility to replace segments of their underground service lines in January. City Administrator, Scott Peterson, says they originally overestimated the cost of the project.
The city council voted to approve an increase to the project, pending contractor approval.
No date has been set for work to begin, but it will take place sometime during the construction season this summer. The project is slated to replace lines based on need and is not focused on any particular area. The work is projected to be finished by the end of August
