Mass of the Christian Burial for 79 year old Robert Gehling of Carroll will be Wednesday at 10:30am at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the Carroll American Legion. Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 4pm Tuesday where there will be a Rosary at 5 and a Christian Wake Service at 7 Tuesday evening. Visitation will resume at the church after 9:30 Wednesday morning until time of Mass. Robert Gehling is survived by his wife: JoAnn of Carroll….his children: Joyce Haberl & Linda Wessling, both of Carroll, Ken of Dyersville, Roger of West Des Moines, Randy of Minnesota, Russ of Wisconsin, and Keith of Salem…..24 grandchildren….and his siblings: Rita Anstoeter of Nebraska, Rose Ocken of Carroll, Sister Joann Gehling of Hiawatha, and Jerry of Arizona.
