Today (Wednesday) marked the first day of the Coon Rapids Friends of the Library Book Sale, and staff has already seen a large number of books sent off to new homes. The Friends hold the book sale every year to clear out old inventory and raise money for the library at the same time. Library Assistant, Chris Lee, says all types of books at any reading level are available.
Not only books are for sale. Lee says some of the furniture replaced during the library’s recent remodel can be purchased for those interested. As for price, that is up to the buyer.
The book sale serves as an important fundraiser for the community’s library to provide excellent programming for the year, along with new equipment.
The sale continues Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at the Coon Rapids Public Library.
