A Gray woman has been arrested after two children needed to be airlifted for medical care. The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office took 50-year-old Samantha Kay Bailey into custody Thursday evening on an outstanding warrant. Bailey was transported to the Audubon County Jail and is being held on a $20,000 bond. She has been charged with two counts of child endangerment, class C felonies, and a preliminary hearing on the charges has been scheduled. The allegations stem from an incident in Gray on Sunday, April 9 which resulted in the hospitalization of the two children. As an investigation into the occurrence is ongoing, Sheriff Todd Johnson could not comment on the children’s status or the incident but did indicate additional charges are pending.
