No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 30 and Colorado Street in Glidden on Thursday morning. At approximately 8 a.m., the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the scene and found that a 2013 Ford Focus, driven by 42-year-old John Douglas Wieselar of Sioux City, was eastbound on Highway 30. A 2000 Buick Regal, driven by 16-year-old Roger Dean Hoyt of Scranton, was westbound on Highway 30 and attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Colorado Street. While making the turn, Hoyt struck the front end the Wieselar vehicle. There was an estimated $4,000 in damages to the Wieselar car and $1,000 to the Hoyt car. Hoyt was charged with failure to yield upon a left turn.
