SMCH Encourages And Recognizes Local Volunteers During National Volunteer Week

Sunday marks the first day of National Volunteer Week and Stewart Memorial Community Hospital (SMCH) in Lake City is recognizing citizens who take personal time to devote back to the public. SMCH staff and volunteers with the hospital auxiliary joined with Lake City Mayor, Tyler Holm earlier this month to sign the national volunteer week proclamation. This announcement encourages volunteers to stay connected with service organizations like the SMCH Hospital Auxiliary. National Volunteer Week lasts from April 23 to April 29 and was established in 1974 to encourage individuals to spend time to make the world a better place.
