A steering committee was officially formed on April 24 to assist OPN Architects with input and insight into plans for expansion of the Carroll Library. They are moving quickly to work with the architects on getting preliminary plans and elevations developed, and will be holding two open meetings in the next two weeks. The first meeting is scheduled for Friday, May 5, and Carroll City Manager, Mike Pogge-Weaver, a member of the committee, says this is the best time for the public to see the proposed plans.

Pogge-Weaver says they will not be producing any elevations on the Commercial Savings Bank site as no major renovations are being proposed on the exterior of the structure. The focus will be on the changes that would be made to the Farner Government Building.

The first meeting is expected to last an hour to an hour and a half and will begin at noon in the training room at the Carroll Fire Station, 801 Bella Vista Drive. The second meeting is scheduled for noon on Friday, May 12 at the same location. Again, both meetings are open to the public.
