Video Footage Of Fight At CHS Garnered High View Counts Before Being Pulled From YouTube

Cell phone footage of a fight that broke out between students at Carroll High School (CHS) Monday was rapidly gaining views online before being removed from YouTube. In the video, two unidentified male students were exchanging words when one student threw a series of punches and striking the teenager in the face. The student fought back before a third classmate joined the fray. The entire exchange lasted less than 30 seconds. Authorities were contacted in relation to the event, and Superintendent, Rob Cordes, says the staff at CHS handled the situation correctly.

Altercations like this are not unheard of in high-school-aged boys, but Cordes says the school handles an incident like this seriously.

It is not clear what punishment the students involved will face. Nobody was seriously injured in the brief fight. Cordes says student safety is not compromised by any means.

Cordes indicated whatever occurred between the students to cause the exchange seems to have passed. All disciplinary action taken will be in accordance to the Carroll Community School District policy.
