Jamie Lawrence Has Verbally Accepted Job Offer To Be Sac City’s New Administrator

Sac City’s nearly six-month long search for a new city administrator is over after an offer to Jamie Lawrence was verbally accepted. The city council approved a written contract to be submitted to the new hire at their meeting Tuesday night. According to councilman, Bruce Perry, the new city administrator has the skill set the city needed and worked at an organization in Kentucky similar to Region XII Council of Governments.

The city began its search for an administrator after the previous administrator resigned in November last year. Perry believes they are fortunate to find an applicant of Lawrence’s caliber and says he had all the qualifications the city was looking for.

The city council did not hire a firm to assist in the search for applicants, and Perry says it was a relief when Lawrence accepted their offer.

If the written contract is signed, Lawrence will begin as soon as June 5. Carroll Broadcasting has reached out to Sac City’s future administrator and will bring you more from him in future broadcasts.
