The City of Carroll has two street construction projects slated for this year. Putting down the overlay is expected to be a quick project. In addition to roads, trail work will be done in two different parts of the community.
And though construction won’t begin this year, the city and the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) continue with plans for the expansion of the intersection at Highway 30 and Grant Road.
Pogge-Weaver says there are easements and some strips of land that are being acquired for the project that will widen Highway 30 and create a left-hand turning lane south onto Grant Road.
