Sioux City Diocese Ordains Two New Priests

Two new Deacons have been ordained into the priesthood in the Diocese of Sioux City. The Most Reverend Bishop R. Walker Nikless, performed the ceremonial Mass Saturday at the Cathedral of the Epiphany in Sioux City, ordaining Andrew Galles and Matthew Solyntjes. Galles is a Remsen native and graduate of St. Mary High School. He finished seminary studies May 3 at St. John Vianney Theological Seminary in Denver. He will be the parochial vicar of Cathedral of the Epiphany, St. Joseph Parish and St. Boniface Parish in Sioux City. Solyntjes is from Sibley and graduated from St. Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology in Indiana on May 13. He will be serving as parochial vicar of All Saints Parish in Le Mars and chaplain of Gehlen Catholic Schools.
