A Jefferson man reported he was attacked by a masked man in the early morning hours Sunday. The Jefferson Police Department reports that at approximately 12:47 a.m., George Croutch called authorities, saying he was outside his residence at 207 East Perry Street when a masked stranger struck him with a closed fist and then fled the area. The officer interviewed neighbors, but could not corroborate Croutch’s report.
