A Carroll man has been arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. On Thursday, July 13, 40-year-old Travis James Daniel, of Carroll, was stopped at approximately 6:15 p.m. by the Carroll Police Department near the intersection of High Ridge Road and Alta Vista Drive. A search of his vehicle uncovered several smoking devices. Marijuana was subsequently found inside those items. Daniel was arrested and transported to the Carroll County jail. He has been charged with possession of a controlled substance—marijuana—third offense, a class D felony. He is scheduled to make an initial appearance in Carroll County Court on Thursday, Aug. 3. Audubon County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, Axel, assisted in the search.
