Two women were transported to the Audubon County Hospital by Audubon Fire and Rescue after a collision on Thursday afternoon. At approximately 2 p.m., the Audubon County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at the intersection of 190th Street and Pheasant Ave., approximately six miles east of Audubon. Forty-one-year-old Andrea L. Schramm of Guthrie Center was driving eastbound on 190th Street in a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe, when a southbound 2003 Kia, driven by 62-year-old Sherry Jane Fenske of Audubon, failed to stop at the Pheasant Ave. intersection. The Fenske vehicle struck the passenger side of the Schramm Tahoe. Damage to the Schramm vehicle was estimated at $28,000 while the Fenske Kia’s damage was estimated at $6,700. Fenske was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
