Macy Schneider is the new Marketing and West Central Iowa Healthcare Foundation (WCIHF) Director at Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC), having started her new role on June 26. Schneider was working at Van Wall’s corporate headquarters in Perry, but was searching for a role that would provide more opportunities for growth. She says she has found that at MRHC, but still in her first full month of employment, she has been put right to work on the biggest fundraising event of the year for the foundation on Friday, July 21.
They currently have 17 of 20 team spots filled, which Schneider says is the most they have had in the last couple of years for the 18-hole best-ball tournament. In addition to entry fees and sponsorships, there are other activities to raise money.
The shotgun start will take place at noon, with lunch and registration beforehand beginning at 11 a.m. and a dinner catered by Lidderdale Country Store starting service at 5 p.m. For those interested in participating, they can contact Schneider at the phone number below, or they can purchase a $20 meal ticket at the Manning/Manilla Golf Course when service begins. In the past 24 years, the Golf Classic proceeds have been used to create green spaces and provide patio furniture as well as for the purchase of other vehicles for use between the hospital and the Manning Family Recovery Center’s location on west Highway 141 and the Plaza nursing home located on Manning’s Main Street.
