It was with deep regret that at Monday morning’s Carroll County Board of Supervisors meeting, Sheriff, Ken Pingrey, announced the retirement of one of their officers.
Pingrey added that they will be looking to replace Ike for a variety of reasons.
- Ike had been with another department prior to coming to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office about five years ago. Pingrey said that the Belgian Malinois was brought in from out of the country and there was no formal documentation for them to be able to determine just how old he is. Ike was partnered with now Lt. Jon Cretsinger, who began training with him in the fall of 2012.
