Services for 91 year old Rita McDermott Reis of Perry, formerly of Jefferson, will be Friday at 10 am at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jefferson with burial at the St. Mary’s Cemetery, in Green County. Friends may call at the Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home in Jefferson from 5-7pm Thursday where there will be a Vigil For The Deceased at 7 Thursday evening. Rita Reis is survived by 5 children: Mary Tighe of Bagley, Monica Dirkx of Carroll, Margaret Knosby of Perry, Mark McDermott of Jamaica and Michele Ahern of Solon…..11 grandchildren…..15 great grandchildren…..and a sister: Kathleen Ferguson of North Carolina. The family suggest memorials be directed to HCI Hospice, 610 10th Street, Suite 100, Perry, IA.
