The 18th annual Iowa Sales Tax Holiday is coming up next weekend, Friday and Saturday, Aug. 4 and 5. Shoppers get a break on back-to-school items with qualifying clothing and footwear, at a price lower than $100, exempt from local option and state sales tax. Many items are included in the exemption, such as costumes, diapers, bathing suits, coats and other articles of clothing. However, backpacks, school supplies, jewelry, fabric and other goods will remain taxable on those two days. A full listing of exempt items can be found by following the link included below.
