Carroll One Of Only A Select Few Counties Invited To Host Live Healthy Iowa Informational Presentation

In a new strategy to help local communities move the needle on state and county health rankings, the Live Healthy Iowa program is developing new technology and new team tactics. One of these is a statewide measurement called the Active Index, which is expected to raise the bar, create awareness and assist communities at the grassroots level in getting families and neighborhoods more physically active all year long. Carroll County has been selected as one of only 20 across the state to personally meet and converse with the Live Healthy Iowa Director, Dr. Amy Michelle, and Iowa Sports Foundation CEO and University of Iowa football star, Chuck Long. A special presentation will be held on Monday, Aug. 14 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the St. Anthony Regional Hospital education center. These two will be talking with attendees about ways they can help with improving the health and well-being of our communities by utilizing the Active Index and many other health and wellness initiatives through the Live Healthy Iowa program. The event is hosted by Carroll County Public Health, the Carroll County Wellness Coalition and St. Anthony Regional Hospital.  RSVPs are not required, but are requested and can be done by using the email link included below
