This Saturday, leaders in all areas of agriculture will come together for the 2017 Ag Summit at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines. Monday, organizers announced panel discussion on the 2018 Farm Bill, trade and manufacturing, renewable energy, the future of farming and ranching and the environment will be on the agenda for panel discussions. The highlight of the conference will be an address by Sonny Perdue, the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture. The first panel will get underway at 8:30 a.m. and will continue throughout the day with expert panelists providing insight and answering questions about the identified topics. Other speakers announced will be U.S. Senators, Joni Ernst and Chuck Grassley as well as Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds. The first Iowa Ag Summit was held in March of 2015 and featured discussions about agricultural issues with 2016 presidential candidates.
