A portion of the Sauk Rail Trail will be closed Wednesday and Thursday this week for trail maintenance. Repair crews will be working on the six-mile stretch between Swan Lake State Park and Maple River to fill cracks in the concrete path. A tar mix will be used to repair the damaged areas, and it must be given time to cure and harden before it is ready to use again. The repairs are expected to finish Thursday evening. The path will be open the morning of Friday, Aug. 11. The portion of the Sauk Rail Trail within Swan Lake State Park will remain accessible during this time.
