Area school boards elections are being held across the listening area tomorrow (Tuesday). In the East Sac County Community School District, two at-large seats are available with only two candidates, Jay Stoltenberg and Brent Wilhelm, on the ballot. Polling locations will be open from noon until 8 p.m. on Sept. 12 with residents in the old Sac school district living within Sac City and Douglas, Jackson, Cedar, Wall Lake and Coon Valley Townships submitting ballots at the Sac County Courthouse lobby. Residents in Lake View and Clinton, Wall Lake and Viola Townships who were part of the old Lake View school district can vote at the Lake View Fire Station. Citizens in Auburn, Coon Valley and Sac Townships vote at the Auburn Public Library. People living in Wall Lake, Clinton, Levey and Viola Townships can cast votes at the Wall Lake Community Center. In the South Central Calhoun District, five seats are open with six candidates running. Kari Musselman, Jason Hawkins, Darci Lightner and Judy Hungate are all the only candidates running for their respective seat. The contested race is for the at-large seat between Chris Green and Nick Spencer. Voters have two options for polling locations: one is in the Calhoun County Courthouse basement in Rockwell City or in the Lake City Community Building.
