Charges levied against a man accused of causing a fight in Carroll Wednesday morning have been processed in a single day. At approximately 1:18 a.m., the Carroll Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting a fight at 1215 Plaza Drive. When law enforcement arrived, they located the suspect, 35-year-old Joshua Michael Pritchett, of Hallsville, Mo. According to police, Pritchett exhibited poor balance and smelled strongly of alcohol. He stated the victim started the incident, but an independent witness said Pritchett initiated the fight and went after the victim a second time after being separated. At the time of his arrest, Pritchett blew a .156 BAC. He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct for fighting in a public place and public intoxication, both simple misdemeanors. He pleaded guilty to both charges Wednesday and was released. He was ordered to pay nearly $300 dollars in fines.
