Trial Date Set For Carroll Man Accused Of Intending To Deliver Narcotics

A trial date has been set for a Carroll man accused of attempting to deliver narcotics. The jury trial for 38-year-old David Alexander Schroeder is scheduled for early next year on Tuesday, January 9 in Iowa’s Second Judicial District. Schroeder is accused of two controlled substance violations, class B and D felonies, following his arrest in April. In August, results were returned to the Carroll Police Department from the Iowa Department of Criminalistics Laboratory which confirmed Schroeder was in possession of a significant amount of methamphetamine and marijuana and intended to sell the drugs. If found guilty of both charges, Schroeder faces a maximum of 30 years imprisonment and up to $17,500 in fines.
