Denison Man Arrested After Attempting To Flee From Authorities

A Denison man has been arrested after attempting to escape from a traffic stop in Carroll last week. At approximately 4:11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 43-year-old Nhial Bol was operating a 2002 Buick Century near the corner of Quint Avenue and 18th Street when an officer with the Carroll Police Department noticed Bol had a headlight out. Law enforcement attempted to stop the Buick, at which time, Bol made several turns onto McCoy Drive before abandoning the vehicle and fleeing. The officer pursued and arrested Bol after a short foot chase. He is charged with driving while license revoked, a serious misdemeanor, and interference with official acts, a simple misdemeanor. Bol was released later on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, Nov. 2 to answer to the charges.
