Mark Nepple is proud to call Carroll his hometown, and as manager of Bomgaars, he is doubly excited about the opening of their new, 95,000-square-foot location on Thursday, Nov. 2. He says the excitement for him and the 42 employees is about the growth of Bomgaars’ and also what that represents for Carroll.

After the headquarters in Sioux City officially announced the purchase of the former K-Mart building in CitiCentre Plaza in late July, the wheels were put into motion. Nepple says things have really ramped up in recent weeks for him and his team, as well as members of the entire Bomgaars family and vendors from all over the Midwest who have rushed to help with the transition.

Nepple says with the phenomenal growth Bomgaars has seen over the past several years, there are about six to eight location changes for stores each year. The new Carroll Bomgaars will be opening their doors to the public sometime on Thursday and will feature expanded space and new looks for the many different departments within the store.

He adds the extra space will make it much easier for customers to shop and navigate throughout the different departments as well as helping the employees provide even better service for their customer base. Nepple will keep the media notified about when the doors will open on Thursday, but everyone is invited to attend their grand re-opening celebration on Friday, Nov. 10 and Saturday Nov. 11. There will be registration for prizes, including $250 and $500 shopping sprees, and free hot dogs and pop will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. Store hours for the grand re-opening correspond to regular business hours of 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
