A Carroll High School (CHS) teacher has been honored as a finalist for the 2018 Iowa Teacher of the Year. Business Instructor and Professional Learning Community (PLC) Leader, Chelsea Bissen, was announced as one of the five teachers in the state by the Office of the Governor yesterday (Wednesday). Bissen was selected as a finalist for her commitment to her students, staff, district and community of Carroll. Aileen Sullivan, a chemistry teacher at Ames High School, was announced as the recipient of the award. Other finalists for the award can be found included with this story on our website.
