A Manson man was arrested following a single-vehicle accident on Monday, Nov. 6. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at 300th Street and Twilight Ave. northwest of Coon Rapids at approximately 5 a.m. Twenty-two-year-old Harley Dana Janssen was driving southbound on Twilight in a 1987 Jeep Wagoneer when he left the roadway and headed east into the ditch. He went through a barbed wire fence and into a cornfield, continuing east until he eventually fell into a ditch in the middle of the field. Janssen was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated and driving while revoked. Janssen was uninjured but there was an estimated $3,000 in damage to the Jeep and $150 in damage to the barbed wire fence.
