Only A Little Smoke, No Fire At Carroll Middle School Early Monday Morning

At approximately 8:48 a.m. this morning (Monday) the Carroll Fire Department responded to the report of smoke at the Carroll Middle School. Two trucks were dispatched to the scene and students were briefly evacuated before the source of the smoke was located. Fire Chief, Greg Schreck, says there was not a fire, but smoke was coming from one of the HVAC (Heating, Venting and Air Conditioning) fans. Crews were on scene for about 15 minutes. The Carroll Police Department and Carroll County Emergency Medical Services also responded.
