A Carroll man has been charged with theft after allegedly stealing from an employee of a local non-profit organization. According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, 44-year-old Shedrick Jamar Robinson entered an office on Monday, Nov. 27 at the New Opportunities building on Highway 30 in Carroll and took a wallet from inside. He then returned to his residence with the wallet, which contained approximately $250 in cash, credit cards, gift cards and various other items. Robinson eventually discarded the wallet in a dumpster at his apartment complex. He was arrested Tuesday at approximately 8:30 p.m. after he admitted the crime to a deputy. Robinson is charged with fourth degree theft, a serious misdemeanor, and is scheduled to appear in District Court on Thursday, Dec. 7.
