During Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, CrossFit Carroll hosted their third annual event to raise awareness and funds in support of area patients. CrossFit Carroll owner, Brian Bellinghausen, says he enjoys opening his business to anyone who is interested in getting in a fun, quick workout that supports a worthwhile cause. “Most of the participants wore pink to show support,” Bellinghausen says, “and I’m proud to say we raised $400 to be donated to the St. Anthony Friendship Fund.” A total of 19 people made donations and then took a turn doing the “Grace” workout, which includes 30 clean and jerks. There were seven men and women who set personal records. Following that, they then did three rounds of a Tabata workout which incorporates mountain climbers, lateral bar jumps, pushups, leg raises, band pull-a-parts, squats, running, rowing and cycling.
