It may be the first week of December, but it has been feeling a lot more like late September. Carroll will need to see the recent temperatures drop quite a bit before they can open the ice rink in Rolling Hills Park for their second season. The city has reported that the backboards are up and everything else is ready to roll when temperatures fall below the freezing mark for several days in a row. And even though we are looking for a cool down this week, the long-term forecast is not favorable for that scenario just yet. City staff will be continuing to monitor the weather and will make announcements when they are able to create the ice.
