A Scranton woman accused of issuing more the $3,000 in false money orders at the Lanesboro post office has reached a plea agreement with the court. Sixty-five-year-old Connie J. Grim has pleaded guilty to third-degree fraudulent practice, an aggravated misdemeanor. She was originally charged with second-degree fraudulent practice, a class D felony, for writing $3,200 in money orders from Dec. 31, 2016 to May 11, 2017 to family members while employed with the United States Postal Service. As part of the plea deal, Grim is sentenced to a two-year suspended sentence and two years of probation. She will also be responsible for the court costs, attorney fees and restitution in the matter.
