The second full meeting of the year for the Carroll City Council will convene at 5:15 p.m. Monday night in the second-floor council chambers at the Farner Government Building. City Manager, Mike Pogge-Weaver, provided a brief synopsis of what the upcoming meeting will entail, beginning with a proclamation declaring Jan. 28 through Feb. 3 Catholic Schools Week. Council members will then be addressing a zoning request.

There will be two professional service agreements reviewed to enter into a design phase for pickleball courts at Northwest Park and capital improvements in the Graham Park Recreation District.

And after about a year, the city will be able to read a proposed agreement with the Union Pacific Railroad about completing the trail segment on Carroll Street that crosses the tracks there. Before the meeting closes out for the evening, Public Financial Management (PFM) will provide an annual review of the general obligation bonding scenarios, they will review the capital improvement plan for 2019 through 2023 and will get a report on the financial statement audit for Fiscal Years (FY) 2016 through 2019.
