Iowa DNR Hosting Hunting And Trapping Listening Session In Lake View

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will be holding a listening session in Lake View next month. The public meeting will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 21 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and they will be seeking input on possible changes to the hunting and trapping regulations this fall as a part of the rule-making process in state government. “Any rule changes must be discussed with Iowa’s citizens who might be impacted by the changes before the rule changes are proposed,” explains Todd Bishop, chief of the wildlife bureau. There are several meetings occurring simultaneously across the state, and facilitators will be asking attendees about what went well last fall as well as what didn’t and then take suggestions for changes to be implemented this year. The Lake View meeting will take place at the Iowa DNR wildlife office at 116 South State Road.
