The jury trial for a Gowrie women accused of stealing a vehicle from a Glidden car dealership has been scheduled for the end of February. Twenty-eight-year-old Gail Ann Osborn will appear in District Court for Carroll County on Tuesday, Feb. 27 to face two counts of second-degree theft, class D felonies. The charges against Osborn stem from an incident in July of 2017 in which she took possession of a 2004 GMC Envoy, valued at $1,700, from Highway 30 Motors. According to authorities, Osborn knowingly used a check from an account her bank was in the active process of closing. They say Osborn showed intent to deprive the dealership of the SUV by later registering the vehicle in her name. If found guilty of both charges, Osborn could face up to 10 years in prison and fines not to exceed $15,000.
