Carroll Man Found To Be In Contempt Of Court Sentenced To Five Days In Jail

A Carroll man has been sentenced to serve time in jail after being found in contempt of court. Twenty-four-year-old Rohan St. Anthony Mclachlan was found in contempt for failing to sign his probation agreement and appear for a scheduled probation appointment as ordered for an earlier offense. He was sentenced to five days in the Carroll County jail with credit for time served and pay $150 fines. Following his release, Mclachlan is to continue the original probation sentence. Mclachlan was placed on probation after being adjudicated guilty of stealing more than $1,000 of alcohol from the Carroll Hy-Vee. He was initially charged with second-degree theft, a class D felony, and pled the charge down to third-degree theft, an aggravated misdemeanor.
