Whiterock Conservancy in Coon Rapids is welcoming back two history experts that will allow area residents to identify any artifacts they may have found. On March 3, Joe Artz and Cherie Haury-Artz will be hosting an archaeological road show from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The pair will examine the pieces and determine what the items were used for, how old they are and what people from the past used it. At 3 p.m., Artz and Haury-Artz will pick their favorite items that were brought in and give a more in-depth presentation on each one. Attendees are encouraged to bring in any artifacts they would like more information on, but one is not needed to attend. A similar event was held in February of 2017. The event is open to the public and will be held at the Whiterock Conservancy Visitor’s Center at 1436 Highway 141 in Coon Rapids.
