The Community Foundation of Carroll County (CFCC) has announced the 26 grant recipients from the County Endowment Program, the CFCC Endowment Fund and the Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation County Grant Fund. These grants include a multi-year pledge totaling $100,000 to the Carroll Public Library Foundation in support of the library expansion project. Ensuring all area children are given the chance to play, a grant award of $10,000 was presented to Kellan’s Kingdom all-inclusive playground, another $10,000 to the Manning Child Care Center for a new playground surface and $21,803 to Carroll Area Child Care and Preschool for a completely updated playground. In total, there was just shy of $152,000, with over $95,000 from the County Endowment Program, more than $14,000 from the CFCC’s Endowment Fund and about $42,000 from the Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation distributed. The CFCC Board also awarded Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation 2018 funds of $41,803.00 to the following recipients, with a multi-year grant pledge totaling $100,000 going to the Carroll Public Library Foundation:

Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation has shared a portion of the proceeds it receives from the Wild Rose Casino, Jefferson, IA to the surrounding county community foundations for the past three years. Other recipients include foundations in Webster, Boone, Dallas, Calhoun, and Guthrie counties.
For 2017, the CFCC Board elected Stephanie Snyder Hausmann as President, Joe Behrens as Vice President, and Karen Kienast as Secretary. The Board approved incoming board members Laura Lake, Jessica Morton, and Gina Badding for term-limited A. Eric Neu, Mary Bruner, and Charlie Nixon.
