Many businesses open in Carroll every year, and the Carroll Chamber of Commerce honored an outstanding example of this entrepreneurial spirit found in the community during their annual banquet Monday. The New Business Award celebrates a company which has opened in the last five years and helps reinforce Carroll’s role as a regional hub. Carroll Broadcasting Sales Manager, Deb Lupardus, announced the 2017 recipients.
The family-owned business was opened in 2013 by Maria Promes and her daughters, Kenzie Liechti and Brittany Schultes. Promesing Image started as a nail and beauty salon but has since expanded to include tanning, kids’ services, massages and much more. Promesing Image continues to grow and offers amenities often only found in larger cities.
Promes says she was aware their business was nominated for the award, but she adds it was still thrilling when she heard their names called. Starting a new business can be stressful, but she says it was much easier with help from the community and the Chamber.
She also thanked her family, friends and clients for their continued support. Six other businesses and individuals received awards at Monday’s event. A list of those winners can be found included below this story . Carroll Broadcasting will bring you more from the annual banquet in upcoming broadcasts.
