The Glidden City Council has approved the first reading of a resolution that would incorporate the last five years of ordinance changes officially into the city’s code. No verbal or written concerns were submitted during a public hearing Monday, and the council moved forward with adopting the new code of ordinances. This measure allows the city to order a new ordinance manual and did not change any of the existing regulations. Both the second and third readings were waived, and the resolution went into effect immediately. City officials are uncertain when the new document will arrive. When it does, it will be available for citizens to read in person at the city hall, library or online at www.cityofglidden.org.
