City Of Carroll Asking Everyone To Do The Right Thing, No Left Turns Onto Grant Road

Anybody who has been on the east side of Carroll in the last couple of weeks has seen that the Highway 30 and Grant Road intersection project is underway. City Manager, Mike Pogge-Weaver, says it has been going pretty well, so far.

The city, however, is reporting they are still seeing one prevailing problem with eastbound traffic at that intersection.

No left turn signs are clearly posted at the intersection, and Pogge-Weaver says right now, they are trying to give people warnings when they are seen making those turns. The problem is so prevalent they joked that if they were to give tickets they could maybe use that money to pay for the majority of the project. In all seriousness, they urge everyone to use the designated detours that have been provided.

Pogge-Weaver says they also want to make sure that drivers going through the construction zone are being careful and courteous around the workers.

This is going to be a long-term project, estimated to take 115 working days, with a completion date at the earliest sometime in October.
