More than 100 stuffed bunnies were donated to St. Anthony Regional Hospital earlier this month by team members from American Home Shield. The annual stuffed animal drive has become a tradition at American Home Shield as the team members display the bunnies during the month of March to welcome spring and then make the donation to St. Anthony in April. “It’s puts a smile on my face to see all the bunnies around our building. I hope it does the same for those at the hospital,” says Linda McClellan of American Home Shield. The animals will be given to children who are patients in the emergency department, at the surgery center or any clinic location. St. Anthony Development Director, Trish Roberts, says they really appreciate the kindness and compassion that has been shared with their patients. “Sometimes a trip to the hospital can be frightening and a warm, cuddly stuffed toy helps provide comfort,” she says.
