The Carroll County Conservation Board (CCCB) is excited to announce they will be hosting a very special raptor release at this weekend’s Earth Day Carnival. Naturalist, Matt Wetrich, says people who make it out to the event will witness a spectacle that many bird-lovers only dream of seeing.

This particular eagle was rehabilitated through Saving Our Avian Resources (SOAR). SOAR is a nonprofit organization near Dedham dedicated to returning injured birds to the wild or housing individuals unable to be released. SOAR Founder, Kay Neumann will be on hand to talk about their program and facilitate the release. Wetrich says attendees will have a great opportunity to see the specimen up close.
