It isn’t just about showcasing the artwork of the students. Steffes says it is a learning experience for the artists as well.

The kindergarten through 12th grade Fine Arts Festival in the Kuemper High School gymnasium is open to the public for three days, starting on Friday, April 27 from noon to 5 p.m. The displays will be open for viewing again on Monday, April 30 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday, May 1 from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Steffes says this celebration of the fine arts will culminate Tuesday night, May 1, with a high school band and chorus concert at 7:30 p.m. at the high school.

Kuemper is also inviting high school graduates to participate in the Fine Arts Festival in the Alum Exhibit. Anyone who is making art, post-high school, is asked to consider sharing one to three pieces that can be displayed on a table or hung on a peg board.
