The Crawford County Board of Supervisors has scheduled a public hearing for 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15 for the first reading of a RAGBRAI ordinance. The supervisors want to prevent the ability of vendors to sell outside any incorporated city limits within the county during the Registers Great Bike Ride Across Iowa on Sunday, July 22 and as the riders depart Monday morning, July 23. The public is being encouraged to attend the meeting and to learn more about the ordinance that will set up a simple misdemeanor charge for any violations. The meeting will be held in the supervisor’s board room in the Crawford County Courthouse. The second and third readings of the ordinance are scheduled for Tuesday, May 22 and Tuesday, June 5 at the same time and location.
