Police have arrested a Jefferson man who broke into their impound lot to remove items from his vehicle. On Thursday, May 17 at approximately 3:40 p.m., 19-year-old Moises Zuniga was taken into custody and charged with obstructing prosecution, an aggravated misdemeanor, and trespass, a simple misdemeanor for that incident. Zuniga is also facing an additional controlled substance violation, a class D felony, following an investigation. Authorities had requested and received a search warrant to gather cell phone and Facebook entries from Zuniga’s accounts, which showed a conspiracy to deliver controlled substances.
