On Saturday, members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) notified officers with the Jefferson Police Department about a potentially threatening Snapchat photograph posted by a 15-year-old male resident. The photograph depicted eight long guns with the text, “Ready for school 7 can join me.” An investigation was initiated, and after speaking with the male at a residence in the 300 block of East McKinley Street, he was arrested and all eight firearms were removed from the home. He has been charged with threat of terrorism, a class D felony, and first-degree harassment, an aggravated misdemeanor. The teenager was later released to the juvenile court officer.
