Only Minor Injuries Reported In Two-Vehicle Accident Tuesday In Carroll

Only minor injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday morning in Carroll. At approximately 9:20 a.m., the Carroll Police Department was called to the scene of the accident at the intersection of Highway 30 and North Maple Street. According to authorities, 52-year-old Jennifer Sue Emblen, of Grimes, was traveling northbound on Maple in a 2014 Toyota Camry and proceeded into traffic without stopping at the posted stop sign. Emblen then struck the passenger side of 2005 GMC Envoy, driven by 47-year-old Tanya Marie Clinton of Carroll, traveling eastbound on Highway 30. Damages to the Toyota was estimated at $5,000, and the Envoy received approximately $2,000 in damage. Emblen complained of minor leg injuries but denied medical attention. She was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
