Three Carroll residents were arrested Friday for their alleged involvement in an assault that occurred the prior week. According to court records, 30-year-old Willie Murray-Falls, 30-year-old Perry Williams and 26-year-old Arias Darrell Shipp were taken into custody and booked into the Carroll County jail for assault, a simple misdemeanor. The men are accused of attacking an unidentified male victim at approximately 12 a.m. on Saturday, July 21 at an apartment complex in the 500 block of East 18th Street. An investigation by the Carroll Police Department located cellphone video that showed Williams tackling the victim to the ground while three other men punched and kicked him. It is unclear what other contact the men had with the victim before being caught on video. Authorities have also requested an arrest warrant for a fourth suspect, 22-year-old Khalil Robert Black. Murray-Falls, Williams and Shipp were released on their own recognizance and are scheduled to appear for a pretrial conference on Thursday, Aug. 23 at the Carroll County Courthouse.
